The city made headlines when it landed on the 2017 list of Best Suburb to Live in all of California, which was published by Money Magazine. It has consistently ranked as one of the country’s best places to live due to its good schools, growing economy, and central location.

Incorporated on May 29, 1916, the city of Monterey Park combines almost a century of history and tradition with a modern approach to business, neighborhoods, people, and community. The city’s motto is “Pride in the past, Faith in the future”.
