About Roseville, California

Roseville (formerly Roseville Junction, Junction, and Grider’s) is the largest city in Placer County, California in the Sacramento metropolitan area. Interstate 80 runs through the city and State Route 65 runs through part of the northern edge of Roseville. According to the 2019 U.S. Census, the city has an estimated population of 141,500.

The City of Roseville has a variety of businesses. It has encouraged the addition of large retail centers, including one of the largest auto malls in the country. This environment has produced a mix of housing, small and large employers, as well as shopping opportunities.

Roseville is home to The Roseville Telephone Museum which displays telephones and telephone technology from the 1890s to the present. A popular water park, Roseville Golfland SunSplash, is also located in the city. Eldorado National Forest, Folsom Lake and Auburn state recreation areas, and Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park lie east of the city. In April, the City hosts several popular events, including strawberry and kite festivals.
