About West Park, Florida
West Park, authoritatively the City of West Park was made on March 1, 2005. The already unincorporated neighborhoods of West Park left making a course for joining in 2004, after the State Legislature affirmed House Bill 1491, which accommodated a political decision on November 2, 2004. Following a vote of 3,400 to 956 for consolidation, West Park was en route to turning out to be Broward County’s 31st city. After the political race, inhabitants chose a break progress board and held a progression of workshops to pick up contribution fair and square of civil kind administrations to be given. It was concluded that the new district would be known as West Park until an agreement was reached on a lasting name; this name was consequently held. On March 8, 2005, Eric H. Jones, Jr., was chosen Mayor and four Commissioners were chosen: Felicia M. Brunson, Thomas W. Dorsett, Sharon Fyffe and Rita “Peaches” Mack. They were confirmed as the region’s previously chosen pioneers on March 10, 2005.
