About Norwalk, California

Long identified by its iconic water tower, Norwalk is the 58th most populated city in California with an estimated population of 105,549 at the 2010 U.S. Census. Norwalk is also a member of the Gateway Cities Council of Governments.

Incorporated as a city in 1957, Norwalk started out as the original land of the Shoshonean – a native American tribe. In the years that followed, the city grew due to it being strategically located on the El Camino Real Trail and was then named North Walk.

Today, Norwalk is primarily a residential city, but it can also be a great place for outdoor activities and enjoying the vast history of the city such as the Anaheim Branch Railroad line.
