About Temple City, California

Temple City is a part of a cluster cities and is a community which is predominantly residential with two major commercial arterials (Las Tunas Drive and Rosemead Boulevard) and a downtown district. The City is known for Winchell’s Donuts as it started its business in Temple City in 1970. Today, Winchell’s Donuts is no longer within the city’s limits. Another notable company is Pete & Jake’s Hot Rod Repair which is known for custom cars, such as The California Kid.

There are annual events held in Temple City, such as the Camellia Festival. Camellia Festival started in 1944 in recognition of the significance of family life. It is a three-day parade that takes place the last weekend in February.

The St. Luke Parish Fiesta is another annual event that takes place at St. Luke the Evangelist Church every April. For three days, rides, food stalls, and game booths are open for the community.
